![]() M.A.M or Molecular Analysis Machine helps you with its research tress. On doing so, You will unlock the Molecular Analysis Machine. Once you explore the Molecular Analysis Machine, you can research the Quartz to unlock the map.įirstly, you will have to complete the Tier 1 Field Research Challenge. Simply put, you must progress in the game to get the map. Thus, having a map helps you to collect resources faster. Moreover, it takes up to 50 mins on average to cover the whole play area. The map helps you in exploration and makes your gameplay smoother.Īlso, Satisfactory’s play area is approximately 5.5 km by 5.5 km, which is a pretty large area to cover! My first maps were trash, i spent a lot of time and effort working out how to make them better, and how people interact with games.ĭoesn't matter about how good the tools are, if you just end up with a million first maps.As you proceed in the game, having a map becomes a necessity. Its all about how good the tools are dude, not talent, there is an absolute abundance of talent out there if you just tap into it, it can do so much more work for you for free, quality work,īut of coarse, that only requires one thing, an open mind.īuilding maps is not easy. It all really depends on the amount of modding the devs allow, like unlocking those map assets and giving us a terrain generator and way to splice map chunks etc. slugs, berries, nuts, rocks) All drop sites are untouched Nothing (except the HUB) was left standing Some stuff to start with inside the personal storage box This save has been made in Experimental Update 7. Its time consuming yes, but hard, not really.Īs nice as this current map is, it has faults dude.īut to just assume no one else has any talent to build maps is, well lets say its just you that will miss out with that attitude.īuilding maps is easy with the right tools. Map has been fully discovered All alternative recipes are available Nothing has been removed or picked up (e.g. Originally posted by piddlefoot:Naaahhhh, its easy as, and if you had made heaps of maps and scenarios in other games you would know that. And we don't even need to talk about limestone, that stuff is everywhere, but there's a few pure and normal nodes nearby.īut, once you get into the oil stage (there's only 3 spots nearby), you have to expand and there's a good spot for that just up the highway from there where there's like 7+ more pure nodes )īut you're definitely going to have to explore if you want any aluminum/bauxite and uranium. There's also several hydro-thermal vents nearby when you unlock geothermal. ![]() Beyond the caterium nodes and across the water way above is a couple pure oil nodes. Just past the copper nodes is another hard drive (you can put a water extractor in that pond too) and if you keep going across the highway you'll find sulfur down by the river and above there are a couple normal caterium nodes. There's also copper down there and 2 above where your iron nodes are. ![]() Oil is just down the cliff past a hard drive, there's coal across the waterway for power. Just around the corner (or ramp off the side of the cliff) is your quartz and just down the hill from that is a coal node you can use for steel on the flat area between the coal and quartz. It accelerates the early game but then you're looking for new space to put other things.Īll of the iron and copper production can happen in that tiny space, I like building there. ![]() It only feels that way in the early game having so many pure nodes nearby. On top of what you mentioned, there is coal, oil, caterium, and oil all extremely close by. It also has access to enabling creative modes (no power requirements, no cost to build, etc.)įinding that area actually deflated a lot of the fun for me from the game, because everything is so close, not much logistics involved. Note this website also works as a save editor if you want to do things like enable the map from the start (ingame), or skip the hard drive exploration part of the game by starting with 100 harddrives, or just having all the research done already. You just have to build skyfactory due to the terrain jutting up everywhere. there are 4 pure iron nodes, 2 pure copper nodes, 2 pure limestones, 2 pure quartz all right there to work with. If you're ok with skyfactory (Floating foundations), the northern forest spawn (top middle) and then run to the top left of that spawn circle. If you select the 'spawn locations' it circles the 4 of them. ![]()
